Job Summary
Founders Launchpad is on the lookout for an accounting and finance professional to join our dynamic team. As the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in building the financial landscape of our accelerator. You will oversee financial operations, manage local tax compliance, manage our internal accounting with Xero, and provide strategic advisory services to a diverse group of startups across various industries. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead our finance department from the ground up, establish policies and procedures, and make a lasting impact on the company and those that we work with.
Job Responsibilities
- Internal Financial Management:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations of Founders Launchpad including budgeting, forecasting, reporting.
- Develop and maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Process Implementation
- Design, implement, and continuously improve financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Implement best practices for financial reporting and data management.
- Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our company
- Consult our portfolio companies as needed.
- Tax Compliance:
- Handle local tax issues, ensuring compliance with Philippine regulations
- Advisory Services:
- Provide financial consulting services to portfolio companies, including advising on accounting methods, financial planning, and process optimization.
- Share industry best practices and recommend solutions to improve financial performance and compliance.
- Conduct financial audits and reviews for portfolio companies as needed.
- Accounting Systems: Implement and manage Xero accounting software and other systems to streamline financial processes.
- Cross-Industry Experience:
- Engage with portfolio companies across various industries, gaining insights and adapting financial strategies to different business models and market conditions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to drive financial success and support overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting, finance, and tax compliance in the Philippines.
- Experience working with startups or in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
