Job Summary
We’re hiring our first Head of Credit to work alongside the Founders and lead our credit operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s ready to build processes, manage risk, and grow with us. You’ll bring experience from a solid lending or finance background in the Philippines, and you’ll play a big part in making N90 succeed. Job Responsibilities
- Set It Up: Develop credit policies, underwriting processes, and risk strategies that fit our goals and customers.
- Get Involved: Handle loan reviews, assess risks, and make decisions while setting up systems that scale.
- Manage Risk: Keep an eye on our portfolio, spot issues early, and find ways to keep it healthy.
- Lead the Way: Start as a hands-on leader, then build and guide a credit team as we grow.
- Analyze: Use data to track performance and suggest smart changes to our approach.
- Stay Compliant: Make sure we follow Philippine regulations (like BSP rules) as we build.
- Work Together: Partner with the Founder and our small team to bring our vision to life.
- Improve: Find practical ways to make our credit operations smoother and better over time.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: 6+ years in credit, underwriting, or risk at an established lender (bank, microfinance, or fintech) in the Philippines.
- Process Builder: You’ve created and managed credit systems before, and you’re eager to do it here.
- Hands-On: You’re comfortable diving into the work, from reviewing loans to solving problems.
- Adaptable: You thrive in a small, fast-moving team where flexibility matters.
- Local Expert: You understand lending in the Philippines—risks, rules, and customer needs.
- Analytical: You’re good with data and can turn it into clear, actionable steps.
- Education: Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (extra certifications like CFA are a plus).
- Tech-Friendly: Familiar with lending tools or data systems, and willing to work with what we’ve got.
