Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and services from suppliers to customers. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing all activities related to procurement, inventory, production, logistics, and distribution. The manager ensures cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager collaborates with various departments, manages vendor relationships, monitors supply chain performance, and implements strategies for continuous improvement. They also play a key role in risk management, troubleshooting supply chain issues, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Experience in the FMCG and Beauty industry is preferred.
- Develop and implement category management strategies within the company.
- Oversee the full procurement process for goods.
- Analyze competitors' products and market trends.
- Control the formation and optimization of the product range.
- Manage the write-off of illiquid goods.
- Develop and maintain the assortment matrix.
- Monitor and control merchandising and product display.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Coordinate sampling in relevant product categories.
- Explore and implement efficient ways to deliver goods.
- Formulate and manage product cost structures.
- Track industry trends and identify opportunities for new product introductions.
- Maintain necessary documentation related to the supply chain.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of promotional activities for products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- A master's degree is a plus,but not required.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain management or related roles.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing supply chain operations.
- Strong background in procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
- Advanced knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and inventory control.
